As the sister & niece of avid hunters I can attest that the "hubby stroll", the human hair, and the "hot sauce cocktail" are all very effective remedies for munching deer.
Gran & Pap lived on the low section of 7 acres that went up the mountain and Gran's only caveat about the hunting was to "keep them outta my flowers!"

My DS and DDIL live in the mountains of far northern california and she goes to the garden center and gets some thing with coyote urine in it. It works wonders!
