Thank you everyone for your kind words. :) I really enjoyed making this one, even though they were as Steve said, "big honkin blocks" :)

Tiffany - I love that your husband loves it that much! My Mom doesn't really quilt anymore, but she was one of those people that made at least a block and quilted it first before she made the bigger size. My Dad always assumed they were for him and hung them up in his office at the animal hospital.

I was amused when I found out the truth from my (exasperated) Mom, (shh, don't tell him,) but she went ahead and bought those wooden things to hang quilts with and had them installed on his wall!

I think it turned out exactly how it was supposed to for your quilt!

Almost finished the blocks tonight but stopped, as I can't decide between the doublewide sashing down the middle or not. It adds an interesting dimension, but then takes away the cool checkerboard of 12 in the middle. The folks with completed projects on Quilters Cache, and here, all seem to have a different take on it. Will decide in the morning (gadz, it 'is' morning). Time flies when you're having fun.

Hopefully I will be able to post the completed top before going into work tomorrow. Decisions, decisions...

Thanks again for posting this block in2stitchin and the inspirational quilts you’ve all posted ladies. I went ahead and gleaned ideas from all concerning the sashing (Shadowdancer), two-tone (Tiffany), and the size (from quilter’s cache).

It’s a very strong design and a pleasure to work with. I posted my version in ‘pictures’.
    :D

I just got mine online from Amazon.com. I don't remember how much it cost, but I don't think it was too much. It has some great blocks in it.
