    Black border or binding depending on how big you want the quilt.

    It definitely needs a black border, BUT.... it seems too small, unless it's a baby quilt. I'd add at least another 2-3 rows of flying geese; add black border; and a bias binding of the colored scraps. Let us see a pic when you are totally finished! Great job!

    I agree - the black border would finish up the quilt nicely. Please post pics once you have decided. Thanks for sharing.

    I agree with Wvdek, black border and quilted with variegated thread. I'm not sure, but a border made of all the fabrics in the top might be too distracting. Binding in black might be better.

    I think that is the rule that quilters used to go by. Partly because it frames the quilt and partly because that part is closest to the floor and it won't show soil as easily. Now days anything goes but I generally keep to "the rule" also.
