this is very clever of you. i have a twin bed in my sewing room, but no headboard,, and my room is very small, so i can only do some basic sewing items.

for several years I used 2 flush doors from a remodel project after removing handles and hinges, covered them with stick and peel floor tiles I got at discount for $10. I used the double sided stickee tape and attached the doors to the top edges of several 3 drawer plastic containers. I used these as a long work area table in my sewing room. The drawers were strong enough to support the tables and everything in the drawers was easily accessible. Naturally, I did not have my sewing machines on these tables, but certainly were a lot of space for little money. When I finally was able to buy good tables, didn't mind throwing the doors to the side because they had served their purpose...twice.

That is sooo smart - can I borrow your idea?
Thanks so much for sharing.

Great tip! We do have one of those bed's too the white version. One of my DD's uses it. At times they have so much fun pulling it out and sleeping in it with all 3 girls or more.

What a great solution. Now you have a sewing room AND a guest room in one.
