I think it looks great, and with either sashing. You said it's a first quilt? You not by any chance entertaining that old devil 'Self Criticism' are you? LOL

I think it's going to be very pretty. I like blue and yellow. MHO is the blue sashing.

I love the blue and yellow combination! I strongly prefer the blue sashing! And yes you probably should have borders! Maybe 2 or 3 borders! It's gonna turn out great!

I don't think its ugly at all. My suggestion would be to make a design out of your dark blues and dark yellows. Like diagonal rows alternating.

I love the colours, but leaning towards the white. Either way it will look lovely.

Don't be so hard on yourself - it's your first quilt!
I like the blue sashing, but wouldn't put squares in the sashing.
Do you have enough of one of the blue prints to use as a border?
If you still hate it when you're done, donate it to charity - a person in need would love it.
