If quilt police truly existed, I'd be UNDER the jail.
The closest I have to quilt cops are my four cats. Three of them could give a rip less and the fourth sleeps on the "job".

What quilt police? I do it the way I want. So what if it isn't like the picture or is something no one else has heard of?

Same here! I mostly sew my stuff for non-sewers, and they think I'm amazing. Works for me!
    Ditto to both.

Good for You!My quilt police is my husband. He makes suggestions to be helpful but it is usually hurtful.I know he is trying to help me get better but I just can't stand it when he points something out.Usually it is to ask why the points don't match but if I knew the answer the point would match![/quote]

Tell him to make a block and see if he can do better.
Would be grounds for divorce for us.
Running someone down only makes some people feel superior. Just know you are doing your best and ignore the run downs.

Years ago a woman did just tell her husband just that. He ended up winning countless state fair blue ribbons for his quilts.

I hand quilt so when I put a quilt top together, it looks good on the design board and I think I have been careful sewing, but when I get to quilting, I find all kinds of faults. I am my own quilt police. All my family seem to overlook the mistakes.

I just make my quilts to please myself. Then I give them away. No police here. If they do exist, just let them arrest me then because I'm sure I've broken most quilting laws, lol.
