BEAUTIFUL! What is this pattern called? I have been looking for a simple star pattern like this for a while now. I have lots of patterns, but this one has evaded me.

Oh you have got to love your new quilt ... outside of your normal comfort zone. Isn't it great?

Yes, get well ASAP, pamper yourself and hope you will be quilting up a storm soon.

warm quilt hugs, sue in CA

It's amazing what we can learn to love when the price can't be beat. Sorry about you knee, hope the draining it does the trick. Sending warm fuzzy feelings your way, hope it helps...

I haven't finished anything since July and this is not normal for me. When we moved I packed some of my sewing supplies but the rest went to storage. Most of my fabrics ended up stored. Recently this was changed because a very sneaky member managed to collect fat quarters and some bigger pieces. Last Friday we met for lunch and she gave me the wonderful surprise. I am very grateful to all those who contributed. It made a huge difference for me. I now have a stash to work with and I am very thankful. Love you all.

But, before we met last week, I walked with Jorge by a thrift shop and found on the window, a quilt kit. In NYC. Unheard of. It was completely opposite to what I stand for with my quilts.

1. It was a kit... I stay away from those as much as I can
2. Americana colors...Colors I tend to stay away from...too many quilts done with those colors already
3. Stars...I dislike matching corners and making sure I don't cut up the tips.
4. Non cotton batting...I only like natural fibers for batting.

One thing was perfect about it...It was fabric. Enough for the top, the backing and batting. I went in and pick it up for the bank breaking amount of $2.00.

I went to the Dr today to have my knee drained (I hurt it when I fell last month in NYC and is not healed yet) so I have to stay off my feet for a few days to see if it heals. I learned to sew a little slower and use the start/stop button on the machine and slowly I got it finally done. Completely not my style, but I love it. Some stars look crooked...I guess is the way Emi was holding it.
What a lovely twist to the red, white, and blue....something we can't have too much of these days. It's a beautiful quilt. You're in my prayers.

Those are certainly my colors. I love it. and what a buy!

Hope that knee gets better soon. Sometimes you just need to use that pedal.
