Welcome from the middle of Oklahoma! And for patterns, there are lots of sites that have patterns and instructions. You are not alone in your love of quilting.

Hello from New Hampshire, USA. This is the same way that I started many years ago. Later I did take classes, had my own small shop and taught quilting then I studied and became a judge. Hope you keep on because quiltmaking can be so rewarding.
    Happy sewing, Kutsno

Hello and welcome from Maine. My son moved to Switzerland this year and I plan to visit him there next year. He's back in the sates right now for Thanksgiving.
I to work without a pattern much of the time. I love making up my own blocks and quilts. I do use patterns too, but love the learning process in planning a quilt without one.

If you see a picture of a quilt and want a pattern, ask me first. Have lots of old patterns, they are public domain,or, the creater is long past. will e-mail with pleasure.
