Thanks Tella...I did know that, but Kathy (quiltswithconvicts) explained the dilemna about the counting. I also did my scallops in a different way...so I would imagine that all of us will end up with a different count.

You go for it on your quilt! 7 is a good start. Just keep doing them even if its just 1 a week...you'll get it finished at some point!

Tella, as a word of encouragement, I started JJ in 1997. I worked on her for a while, then lost interest & put her away. Would drag her out and piece a block or two, then abandon her, again. This went on until this summer when I decided not to put her back ever again. I found this group and am now hand quilting her. Not in any big hurry to get her finished. She will come to completion in her own time.

By the way, several of us were comtemplating making ANOTHER DJ! Can you imagine? This discussion led to the formation of a new group for a quilt called "Affairs of the Heart" which will begin in June. We will all still be here as this is where we co-hesed into the group we are today. We will be here for all the just-starting-outers.

Keep plugging away at her & you, too, will one day have a finished Baby Jane.

I admire everyone who can stick with this project. I just love seeing everyone's blocks. It gives me hope that I can start my DJ next year. Thanks for sharing.
