I would leave this one alone. i did the same exact thing and did not take it out. No one knows but me.

I decided to finish & gift this one....and make another since I still have more fabric.

I just know now what I'd do differently.

Exactly what I would have suggested since you said you have the fabric. They are both beautiful. BTW, love the use of the plaid. Brilliant!

They both look great, but if it was mine, I would have to do it the way I planned it. Once I get an idea in my head I have to go through with it!

If it were me I would redo it, I prefer the original layout best so would take it apart. The way it turned out is also nice but it would bother me that it was not the way I intended.It is yours and you must do what you would like and what you prefer. Love the Colors too!
