No pro here, I've sewn for 53 years and quilted for nine, but applique has never appealed to me. I'm not sure I'll be doing anymore after this quilt. Anyway, forget the white sashing, I've already sewn it together. I need to add embellishments to the bonnets, sew on the border--a piano key (I think that's what it is called) of all the fabrics in this group, and I plan to add a button at each point where the blocks are joined. I'll post another picture before long.

I vote no white sashing in between. Will you put white border around and then what would be the binding color?
It came across as orange ,not red in the photo I"m looking at.

The fabrics are a collection of 30's repos from Connecting Threads and there are a total of 28 prints. I cut strips of each one and will make a piano keys border, the binding will be one of the darker pink prints.
