After I've woven anything in to make sure the seam doesn't come apart easily, I cut them for neatness and so they don't get accidentally pulled in any way. As well as this, if they are ever covering a window (which some of mine do) they look neater with the light shining through. It is very distracting to see rough sewing through the quilt when light is behind it - for me anyway.

Have always trimmed mine as I sew; that is why I am always covered with loose threads.

My mother, who is 90, was a seamstress all her life and still sews for herself. She always told me to clip my threads because it just looked professional and neat. I have followed her advice and still do clip them. I just feel better when everything looks neat!

cut all my while I sew that way I don't have to go back and cut a day worth off ad one time.

As I do the final pressing, I watch and trim any that avoided me in the other passes!

This is exactly what I do.

When I first started quilting I received a notice from the quilt police to always cut my threads, so being a law abiding quilter I cut my threads. lol

Yes I cut mine right away and then press. I'm chain piecing the crumb quilt I'm working on and cut right away. I like my blocks to be neat on both sides as I go.
