Yes, I have met many, many friends. Some I even talk to on the phone. I plan to meet up with some of them one day, who live in my state. Many of my board friends and I share prayer requests for our loved ones and know that we can count on the other to pray and care for each other. This board has been the catalyst for many good things it has brought into my life, but "friends" is the BEST thing it has given me. :-D

mpeters1200 and I have had lunches and phone conversations that are fun and helpful. She helped me find a quilt pattern that I wanted to make for a friend and it's nice to have someone to discuss things with that understands. It's like we're old friends!

I haven't, but I would love to. As far as I know, no one lives anywhere near me, here in Rosedale, Indiana.

    Hi Dayken,

There are quite a few of us in the Portland area - Beaverton, North Plains, Oregon City, Sherwood, Tigard . . . . There are a couple who have come to our get-togethers from Lebanon and Albany. For the upcoming beach retreat we even have some from SW Wash. and No. Cal. coming. I'm not sure what will be planned after the retreat, but keep tabs on the "Offline" section of the Board. We always post there for our open houses. There's still room at the beach if you're interested. It's the first weekend in June. KarenBarnes is coordinating. PM her if you're interested. We always welcome new friends!

Yes, I have and although she lives in Texas and I in Mich so the odds of us meeting in person are rare, I feel like I have found my twin. We amaze each other with how much we have in common! What a wonderful thing, the Internet AND this board!!

I'm working on it...we meet for the first time tomorrow. She lives about 12 miles from me, within walking distance of the house where I grew up AND we went to the same high school. Can't wait to meet her!
