Great information! I am going on a trip to Alaska in August for 15 days ... visiting Skagway. I'll make sure I visit the quilt shop ... what fun!

Just checked out the first site, and YES, it's the same one I went to 4 years ago, while on a cruise! They have beautiful material, and I didn't feel it was expensive at all. Bought some charm packs, waited till winter when we were in Hawaii, to put it together in a quilt, and you might know I ran out of squares. SO....I e-mailed them, they knew my packs (had sold out of them) but still had bolted material to match. They were so helpful to me, got more material and was able to finish my quilt. Would love to go back! Thanks for bringing back great memories.

Popped in there myself a couple of years ago when we went on an Alaskan cruise. Nice little shop.

I think I found that same store - AND a kit that I was going to order online here at home before I left! I'd go back in a heartbeat, too - LOVED it!!!

10.00 to 11.00 a yd is about right for quality fabrics. Even Joanns and Hancocks are at least 8.00 to 10.00.

OMGosh, We were there last summer and I spent a fortune on kits. It's a wonderful shop. I have completed two of them and have three to go.
