    This is an old pattern called Hearts and Gizzards. I have one started in blue and cream. They are so pretty when made!

    The pattern from Golden Thimble is very, very close. The only difference between the old Hearts and Gizzards pattern and the one from Golden Thimble is the curve of the red piece. The Golden Thimble one has a much higher arch. The one that cweezel47 made has a gradual curve. That's why the visual effect changes. It doesn't do that with the higher arch.
