i think, i have decided how i am going to quilt my jane.
i have 4 vertical rows sewn together. put batting on them, and am followering barb papa quilting instructions. it appears that she has quilted in the ditch on row A.

if any of you all have followed my learning curve on this, you know i read a little, and barge ahead a lot. the way i read her quilting in the ditch method, (the one time i read it) was that she quilts 'close' to the seam. but not in it. which is what 'i' thought QITD was. but i believe she said 'close to the seam'. when i did that to several blocks it seemed to pop the other color. B-8, and C-7 for instance. and yes, i added my tri's on
c-7.

Sounds like a plan to me! I tend to be the barge ahead a lot, then read a little in a panic type myself  When I QITD, I do not sew "in" the seam, but rather over a few threads.

thought i would give you ladies an update. hate to admit it, but. DON'T DO ALL THE BLOCKS AND TRI'S IN 60 DAYS. i ended up with a heel spur on my 'pedal' foot. but i think i've had it longer than that. cause it has been bothering me for a couple yrs. got a cortazone shot in it, not sewing, have a 4 yr old grandson for 2-3 weeks. LOL i keep looking at it. am thinking about hand quilting it all now--on a homemade frame made out of l"by 3"s. and c-clamps.

Oh no! Maybe we need to have Brenda put a warning on the book...kinda like the warning on ciggy packs....Working on this quilt non-stop for 60 days will cause health hazards!

Hope the shot works for you. Feel better!

How about investing in a knee lever instead of a foot pedal?
