I don't have a granddaughter to quilt with but I have an 11 year old grandson. Don't know if he would do that or not. He would say "that's for guurrls".

What a great tradition. I'm sure they all look forward to turning 13. Thanks for sharing this wonderful idea. I have a granddaughter turning 13 in November. Perhaps we will try to start this as a tradition also. :thumbup:

and I did some changes on the cutting, but basically followed the pattern.
