On a separate note, had to see what "else" vintage they had too offer -- an OLD IBM pc - floppy drives / no hard drive - starting bid $449 !!! I gotta watch this to see if someone is stupid enough to buy. LOL LOL

That's crazy :hunf: When I make a monthly trip to my local thrift store I usually find a "goody" or several to add to the stash. I have calculated that the price per yard is about $1.29 on all I have purchased.

Once I saw a bidding war between two people for John Deere, or maybe Case fabric. It went for over $100 for a smallish piece. I found 1/4 yard in my stash, and wondered if I could get $25 for it! :)

VBG. Same reason some ladies drool over Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp. Same reason some folks get excited over garage sale and yard sale items I wouldn't take for free. Personal preference in tastes. There's something for everyone in quiltingat whatever price you are willing to pay.

Could be a quilter in Australia...or even Canada...that is still really cheap for them, but they will have to pay outrageous shipping and customs on it!
It really is no different than the people on here that are selling fabrics for $5-$7 per yard that I know we bought at WalMart in the mid 90's for less than $3yd....or at Hancock's in the late 90's for $4.00yd!(or less)
I would venture to say that 80% or more of the fabric sold here is NOT Quilt shop quality and the people selling it are making a pretty good mark up on their older fabrics.
If a person is NEW to quilting, then these OLD fabrics looks NEW at they think $5yd is a bargain, when in fact on those fabrics it really isn't!
I am glad to see the seller is moving her stash at a profit, but I hate to think what will happen if she has to ship that lot overseas and the person claims it was LOST in the mail! She will lose it all..and then some!
