Where at in Northeast Iowa? I live east of Cedar Rapids on highway 30 in Mechanicsville. I'm learning there a lot of quilters here in the state.

My boys are 40 and 43 with no wives or kids. We have 2 dogs that want out 100 times a day.Our min pin is just about 6 months old so I don't want to leave my foot feet for my sewing machine alone with him. I keep picking it up and down. My sewing machine I got new 5 years ago and has never left my kitchen table. I have no place else to put it.

We had 6 inches of rain last night, a foot of water on our street. One time we had 3 feet on the street. Our house is on the hill so we don't have to worry. A lot of bridges washed and high ways were shut. Husband couldn't go to work today. 40 miles south of us had 13 inches. All this goes into the Mississippi River.
You should see the Mississippi River here in St. Paul. It never went down from the Spring thaw. It is scary!!!!! Edie

Welcome from Central Florida. I cut my favorite patterns out of pellon and then I don't have to worry about them wearing out.

I never thought about doing that. I hate it when a favorite pattern wears out.
