    I just did the math. If you start with a 6" square you will need an 8 1/2" square for the second part. You will end up with a 12 1/4" unfinished block (11 3/4" finished). If someone tries it, let me know if that is correct. Thanks!

    I will post a pic tomorrow, a bit tired just now, I have tried a different variation to try and use some scraps and odd, but toning pieces of fabrics, I think I have it sussed, I will let you know tomorrow and you can all tell me what you think. :-P

    Wonder if it would be acceptable if we all posted our trial block here? It would be interesting and helpful to see how our colors blended.
