Donna,

When I first started doing FSL I too had much
trouble with getting my designs to look good.

Than I discovered that my #1 problem was
with the fusible that I was using. At first I was
using the Solvy water soluble (from thin to thick)
as what was recommended by Embroidery Library.
Than I decided to try the Floriani Wet n Gone

My designs come out looking wonderful.

Here are some of the FSL designs I made this
year. There are several floral book marks at
Embroidery Library.

I agree about using Floriani products for embroidery. I have tried every brand there is I think and his products are absolutely incredible.

Also go to the different sewing machine websites (Janome, Babylock, Singer, etc.) and they will have free designs to download (not many but usually nice).

My favorite place to get designs is ---- ME! I love to digitize my own stuff and have done quite a few custom jobs. I have also done some labels for some of the members here.

many of these websites have limited free designs
each day, week or month. As far as the BEST quality
free designs (which are done monthly) is at embroidery
library (so far that I have found).

At this current time I have OVER 90,000 designs with
about 75-80% being names in 2 different font styles.

These are just beautiful!!! Can you tell me how you did them? I just got an embroidery machine and have not done anything yet. Don't know what to do or how. Would love to make some of these for myself and gifts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think EmLibrary is one of the best. Their designs are very reasonably priced, often with free ones and they stitch out beautifully.
ww.cuteembroidery.com is a nice site also. Good discussions, helpful hints and many free designs.

ATW (Artistic Threadworks) is my favorite hands down. They have a wide variety of designs that always stitch out well and plenty of them. Their site also has many embroidery related topics to help you with. I've also had great designs and service from Bunnycup, Embroidery DK, Embroidery Library.

My favorite designer is designsbyjuju.com her designs are so cute. she always has offers. now it it buy 1, get 2 free, get another free, and if you are a returning customer get another set free. 6 SETS for the price of 1 (20.00)

I belong to Mary Rease's Realistic Designs yahoo group. She has a site at Oregon Patch Works Mall. She gives freebees to the group, if you buy on her site, you get another set free because you are a member. and she has great sales like buy 1 get 2 or 3 free. Her designs stich out beautifully, I dont even stitch test them.

If you are in Michigan, you can go to our gathering twice a year for this group.
