That is so sweet!! Last year I was in my kitchen on the phone just looking out to our back yard. Our feeders are next to two glass doors that lead out to our deck. All of a sudden one hummingbird slammed into the glass and knocked himself out. I almost cried. I hung up the phone and went out and picked him up in my hands. I took my finger and rubbed his stomach a little. All of a sudden he turned over and flew away! I was so shocked afterwards and grateful he came to. They are soooo beautiful. I can watch them all day. I will miss them.

OMG! What I wouldn't do to hold one.
One of are feeders are just inches from my kitchen window & sure makes doing dishes easier. Have 2 that haven't left yet but will soon. Will miss them

You are so lucky that they trust you that much. Ours come to the feeder when we are outside, but if we move , so do they.

WOW, I didn't think hummingbirds would get that friendly, and especially to sit in your hand like that. What a wonderful care giver you are to the birds that are lucky enough to leave near you. Amazing.

I do not know which state you are in, but we usually have them until October. With the weather change instead of haveing our usual "about 100", we have maybe 30 left for now. Still have our 11 feeders up, but do not have to refill them every day now.
