I like mine - a 12x13 Olfa purchased w/coupon from JoAnn's. I find it useful for small squares, etc. If the fabric hangs over the side, then it doesn't help.

I have used mine enough that I am about ready to purchase one that is just larger than mine. Made a disappearing 4-patch and it saved alot of time and confusion.

I had second thoughs because of the price but do use it a lot and like the ease in cutting smaller blocks.

I have the larger one and love it. It's great for workshops and classes. I like that I can sit in my chair and just turn the mat to cut.

I have two sizes and love them. I use them more then I thought I would. I'm like everyone else and have to buy a new toy and sometimes they just sit. Well I use these all the time.

I made one from an old lazy susan I had. It works great when I have to square off blocks

I went to Lowes Building Supply and bought a circular tabletop (unfinished) about 18" across. I put a little turntable
with ball bearings underneath it (very strong glue and 3 sm screws) and covered the top with an old cutting mat that
I cut to shape and glued on. I've used it almost 2 years and love it. It doesn't replace a large cutting mat for large
items but it's great for many things and cost me a lot less than those they're selling ready-made.
