I don't think she specified "quilt store".

As long as it is nice feeling fabric, not flimsy or real thin - it should be 100% cotton though. Pre wash please.....I have been using fabric from JoAnn's, Connecting Threads.....and my blocks have been okay.

Can some more people post the fabrics they plan to use. I hope to make a trial block this weekend but am still undecided on colors and type of fabric. Originally I leaned towards 1930 but not sure if they would play nice with all the other fabrics. Also I think I want to use two colors like the original pattern showed.

Since this is a pinwheel of sorts, I think the overall theme will end up being some sort of 'organized scrappy'. I don't see any issue with using brights, batiks, 1930's....whatever. It is a summer theme - Go For It!

Well I have the white here- went to Ericas yesterday and found a flowery fabric bought a 1 1/2 yard- the fabric to go with it they only had 3/4 of a yard , so hoping I can make it work I will try one and see what happens if not will have to get another color to throw in - ended up not being 30s fabric

I like flowery 30's. Here are two choices I plan on using. I love what we've seen so far. Can't wait to see more. <3
