Take one of the colors in your medallion to use for the border instead of the blue/green or just use the navy blue.

Everyone has given their opinion which I do agree with............ I do hope you will post a picture of the new and improved dresden wall hanging.

to me it's the bird border, somehow it just doesn't go with it. Ortherwise, beautiful quilt.

It is very pretty, but I also think the border doesn't go with it well.

I agree with many of the others. The border is nice & the quilt top is lovely just not on the same quilt. It needs a lighter or plainer border (not so busy) maybe the medium blue that is the background for the dresden. That border is very nice just not for that top. It really detracts from the dresden, over powers it. IMHO.

Yes, the border drew my eyes to it and away from the rest of the quilt. Not sure how true colors come thru in the pictures that are uploaded, but it looks like the green kind of clashes with the other quilt colors. My first impression of the border was it reminded my of the 'Caution' road signs. Perhaps on another quilt it would work perfectly.

I love the dresden plate. I have yet to try one of those, but look forward to giving it a try one day.

The border is terrific--for another project! If this is were my quilt, I would take the inner border off and replace it with white--perhaps the same fabric as the Dresden and make the wide border from either the solid blue in the center or the red in the center. froggyintexas

Oh is that a wonderful interior. The border is overpowering it as I am sure others have told you.the green. It catches the eye before you see all the wonderful things you have in the center. I think it is the green. But that interior, love it.
