Jillaine, I just don't understand how someone would not be thrilled to receive such a beautiful gift. Perhaps you could just come right out and ask them what they honestly think of the quilt and why did they have such an unenthusiastic response when seeing it for the first time. Would they prefer different colors, perhaps? If that's the case and it were me, I'd work with them to make one they would be more apt to use in their home. There's nothing worse than putting all those hours into making something so beautiful and it ends up stuck in a closet or worse, in the dog's bed!!! Be strong and find out what the problem is! And please let us know!!

It's beautiful. I once made a kaleidoscope quilt for my husband for our 20th anniversary,(he picked out the pattern and fabric) however, it didn't get finished until our 25th - the fabric had to age, like fine wine. However, I don't think I'll ever make another one, too many bias edges for me, but the quilt is beautiful, although I think yours is more beautiful.

It's fantastic!! Love the colors! It's disappointing when someone can't appreciate the beauty of a quilt, but I am sure they will use it anyway! Nice job.

Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful. However do you find time to hand quilt? I am working on a beaded wall hanging and it has already taken months.

I would definitely keep that beauty for myself and make them a quilt using cheater fabric and machine quilting. Some people just don't appreciate the time and effort put into a quilt. Keep it!!!!
