My husband cuts his own hair, and used to cut our older son's hair, until I finally got over my fear of the trimmer; I have been doing it the past several years. I still have to fuss at him to hold still, stop squirming, hold your head up, but it turns out pretty well in the end. We just cut the 2-year-old's hair a few weeks ago, using the scissors. He's more of a spitfire than his brother, so I foresee many hair-cutting battles in my future.
