Khuxford, Love that swirly brown! I don't think I've seen that dot batik before. Your points look great! :-)))

Nope! That's part of the beauty of the timing of this swap. You have a month to sign up from the date I post and a month to finish your quilt blocks and get them to me which totals 2 months. Pretty cool, huh??

Come play with us! We have a blast.

Been eyeing this swap. Have not attempted a sew swap. This is my first.
I like to do 6 sets.
That means 6 baggies of 6 blocks in each baggie and Each baggie is to use different batik.
    right?
I think the question was asked if we are getting one of our own back. I usually make extra for myself hoping the 6 I get back are different so I get the variety.
am I just signing up for January or is it a year long swap?

Sewmany, Yes, the variety of fabric prints to come back to you from the swap is what's fun. :-)
Each month Jane made a new theme... You can do each month separately. I hope she has enough themes to continue all year though!

I did my prototype with no problem. Then had a cutting problem with one and a sewing together problem with another. It really is an easy block. I think I just had one of those days. So now back to the drawing board-(sewing machine). I hope the piecing gods are watching over me.

I think using just 2 different fabrics over 4 will be much easier. I am having more problems with the b/w/ brights. I will be cutting my fabric for the batiks next weekend.

😃Yea! I'm over halfway done. All four patches stitched together, three sets totally completed, and one of each of the final three sets done.

Welcome Short and Sweet! One set will be fun for you! I used 6 blocks to make the front of a pillowcase (well, I used a zipper, so it's sort of like a pillow cover). One set could also make a cute table runner-- or whatever you can imagine! :-)
