They are using them as embellishments. I'm not a scrapbooker so I had to see one online and it's not easy to find one. I want to see your pincushion too.

I was watching Nancy Zieman the other day. I am going to try one of the applique techniques on my needle case that she showed. I did a practice one and it turned out really cool! I'll post a picture when it's finished.

I'm going to Joanns on Wednesday. I have a few things that i want to pick up. I received a flier with a Senior Citizen Discount Day 20% off total purchase coupon. Using that and a 40% off and 50% off coupon, I should come out with some good deals.

got my crystal top pins. no one at Joanns knew what I was talking about.
I used some other pins in scrapbooking to hold things down, ie. flowers,
photos, ect. If you go to the scrapbook dept, sometimes 'e. and co. ' have them
in a circular plastic header for display. a few yrs ago, I got, birds, flowers and baskets
in the pkg. I wish they had them for every occasion, but don't.
I'll fancy up my pins later for my partner. we get our names andy day now. does anyone know how many we had in this swap???
have fun everyone making pretty pins

I have the hat pincushion pattern but haven't tried making it yet. If anyone is interested, here is the link to the pattern.
