WOW, what an amazing quilt, particularly the center stage mule. I think I agree with your opinion that making one quilt like this is enough for a lifetime, she must be a very special friend. I imagine the ribbons were a bit slippery when sewing them, but you did an awesome job.

Your friend is in for the thrill and happy surprise of her life. Love how you brought "Eddy" to life. It couldn't have been easy trying to work with ribbons. Nicely woven cottons can be difficult enough! Wonderful, wonderful quilt.
