Wonderful quilt! I love your color choices. I do a lot in browns too, but usually more towards the grey-brown taupe colors. I think it's an under-utilized color palette for quilting. Your friend will be over-whelmed by your gift. It's simply stunning. Your idea of a matching tote is really clever too.
