This is my first quilt ever! I made it from jeans that my wife had shrunk out of. Back in August 2017, we began a lifestyle change. It enabled her to lose 95 pounds and shrink 8 sizes. I decided to take up quilting to take my mind off of wanting to eat. I've been able to lose 137 pounds so far. Between what my mother taught me as a child, this website and YouTube videos. I think it came out fairly decent. The wife wants to get me a sewing machine but I really enjoyed doing it by hand. Thanks for letting me brag for a minute.

p.s. I really appreciate all of the people on here that have been so nice to me. Thank You.[/

You did an awesome job! I can't believe it's your first quilt. Keep up the great work! And congratulations to both of you on your weight loss!

Congratulations on both your first quilt and your impressive new life style. It is amazing that you found quilting a diversion and produced such a cute quilt in the process. Keep up the great work on both counts and please continue to post your sewing progression. Good luck.

Congrats on your first quilt-I did a levi quilt with 5" squares for my first quilt but sewed it. Yours is great and the story is heartwarming. Keep up with healthy life style and quilting!
