I love the stars on the black background. Would you share the name of the patter and where you got it? Is is pieced or paper pieced?

I just started another one of the paper pieced stars the North Carolina Star from Carol Doak's book "50 FAbulous Paper-Pieced Stars". Her patterns are easy to do and well laid out. Like all paper piecing it takes a great deal of time. Well worth the effort.
