What a lovely idea for you both to have a quilt with memories of your father.

Here's my practice block .... yikes and do I ever need practice. Jack and I unsewed all major joining seams as I used a full 1/4" instead of scant 1/4". What a mess (& challenge) it was to correct my many seams. I know on this one, I will lose some "points" when joining this block to others but after soooooo many years of not sewing blocks, I'll take this one for the win. I have another one cut with reversed orange and blue spots. Sweet hubby, Charles, cut them out for me using the Accuquilt Ohio Star die. It's allllll a big learning curve again.

Then when I wanted to take photo, suddenly I had extra critics! Tee Bee is our indoor/outdoor rotten cat that adopted us about 4 summers ago.

That sounds like torture, TG. But before you know it we will be onto the next Boom and you'll be in it! Rest and heal.

Glad you are safely home, Terri. How fun that the weather drove you into Missouri Star! Your hubby is a real sport.

Glad to hear little Ernie is doing better. I had one doggie that lived to 19!

Wow! Blocks are popping up already. Yay. I’ll update the gallery soon to add them in. Moonwork, your block is lovely. You’ll be back in the swing of things fast. No worries. SBG, am looking forward to seeing your fabric. So pretty.

Today is a little more planting. I’ve got a nice pink geranium to put in a pot and then some other plant that I rescued from Lowe’s. A shade plant in full sun that was burning up and totally dry. Hope to save it.

Glad you had a safe trip and what a wonderful side trip.

It was really warm over the weekend that I was able to get my garden started. I planted beets. radishes. lettuce and potatoes outside. I got my cucumbers, both squashes, Peppers and tomatoes inside. I hope to get enough to possibly put some veggies away for the winter. I wish that I could run a homestead and have chickens, and possibly a pig for meat.

Have a great Monday Ladies.

Moon, Block and "rotten" kitty are looking good in my eyes. Keep after the stitching and before you now it...Ta-Da it will be one and done! Perfect.

SBG you first block for yourself is as neat as a pin, just as your blocks always are.

My day will be devoted to finishing a UFO. Quilted but needs to be squared up and I will make a go at machine binding. Since this quilt was donated to me to finish and with lots of missing points etc, I will be using it as a practice piece for my machine binding.

Gallery is up to date. I will try to update each morning. If anyone spots an error such as a missed or wrongly attributed block, don't hesitate to let me know. Once blocks start popping up every day, it becomes easy for me to make a mistake. I'm happy to correct it.

Lstew, your garden sounds like an ambitious endeavor! I wish you much success. I have too much shade in most of the yard to plant veggies but I can move my few flower pots around to the best places as the shade moves during the growing season.

Happy Monday all.

Default Boom 33

Finally finished my first Boom 33 quilt. I’m not thrilled with the binding but it’s done. Done is better than perfect. Thank you to the Boom 33 participants.
