that quilt is nice and done in very good taste-you've got to be proud of it!! i think it looks great w/o the big bad borders which would probably only detract your attention from the center focus. AND everything's bigger in Texas so those 4 inch squares are a perfect fit!

Thank you all for your kind words. I am too critical of my own work, always have been. I need to learn to break out of that. I see other people's stuff and want to make something like it, but mine never comes out like theirs. Everyone's work is original so I need to learn to love my work as well as other people's. I think we all are guilty of being too hard on ourselves though. :)

I am a Texan and if I got stuck in that ice cube, I would kick the bucket too!
As for the quilt, it is absolutely Texan and beautiful and should be living down here with me! So send it on! (the quilt, not the hubby)

Love the quilt. Love the fabrics. You can always applique something on the white if that's the part that bothers you. The quilt is a goodlooking quilt.
I have been to Texas several times. Like Texas a lot but doubt if I will ever see all of it. It is a BIG state. One visit, we did over 1000 miles and barely touched the eastern part. Galveston, Padre Island, Houston, FWD area, Round Rock, etc. etc.etc. And Austin, of course. How could I forget San Antonio and the Riverwalk.
Gosh, I want to go to Texas again! There is a quilt show every year.
Hope to see your quilt at the show!
