We're running in the low 100's with the heat index and we have been without AC since Monday. I have used every excuse in the book to go somewhere for most of the last few days. The HVAC people are just now finishing up the repair work (had to replace the compressor, whatever that is!). We've been waiting since Monday for the part to arrive (it was freighted by truck from Central China I think). I am just literally thanking God we had the money to get the work done and I will be thanking Him every night in my prayers for AC!

So where are you vacationing?

Same for here in Central Texas today, except there's not much of a breeze. Before 7:00 this morning it felt like an oven outside. I'm certainly glad I work in an air conditioned building.

From northern New Jersey - we've gone from a major heat wave (temps some days over 100 plus humidity) to a day of normalcy right into a second heat wave. So hazy today I can barely see the view of NY from my apartment, super hot, the same tomorrow and the next few days.

HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!! The only good thing, it's too hot for us to go out unless we absolutely have to so I'm staying in and doing more quilting.

It's 91 here now with only 35% humidity. The heat index is 92. It's supposed to be 103 in western Kansas tomorrow. I think we are going to the mountains for the weekend.

It's hot here in Southern CA but I don't mind because I still remember my years in NE and IA where the heat was so oppressive and the humidity was so high, I felt like I needed to move my arms and "swim" in order to part the air so I could walk forward!

I quit checking on the temps here in Easley SC area.
My hubby says he waited all winter for this.
I go out only when I have to. The 90s and even the 100s are enough for me to want winter when I can add clothes to keep warm and summer you only can take off so many clothes.

Its been pretty hot here the past couple of days and today the weather lady said we had 63% humidity. Yesterday it was 100 degrees in the shade, we had thunder and lightening and sprinkles that dried the moment they hit the ground!. Cooling off after the weekend; I'll take 90 degrees any day after these past two days! I thought I left the HOT weather when I left Arizona!
