I will buy "bags" on sale, embellish them & use them instead of an expensive paper one. And it already has an afterlife! That block , I hate, my sister & I argue about it all the time, She does see it, I always do. GOOD SAVE!!!

This probably won't help you, but in Indonesia, the swastika is a very, very old symbol from the Hindu religion. It means "peace and prosperity" an dis a sign of eternity. I've seen the symbol on the outside of houses and it is there to bring prosperity and good fortune to the people living in the homes. It IS very difficult to not see the "bad" part of the symbol, though....

I must be really really blind because I don't see it.

They look fine. I would have never noticed it. The heart is pretty too.

I didn't realize the railroad lock was a swastika. I think you have touched a spot in all of us. I don't think it would have been so noticeable if it hadn't been put on black.
It is good to know the real meaning of the symbol, but it will now always be associated with Hitler and his crimes against humanity. Too bad.

Even with the heart I can still see it.

Do cover the whole thing. Even at my advanced age,
I still have a knee jerk reaction to that symbol, and
I'm not even Jewish. Today it's way to easy to go out
and unknowingly offend someone or other.

But your son is really a sharp kid to notice something
    like that.

It's because we are working so close to the block. I always back away and look with fresh eyes. You would be surprised at how often they look so different from a small distance. LOL
