when I choose a kit, it's because I really love it and dig into it right away. I do have one someone gave to me that will likely end up in the quilt group's xmas swap, however.

I hoard fabric, not kits. but boy do I hoard fabric!

I have 6 from the quilt show from classes. # of which I didn't finish the project because I changed how I was going to do the finished project. I also have fabric and the patterns put into a bag for projects to do. I don't cut them out. I just find one pattern that I like (usually a freebie on line). Shop my stash and then when I find a sale I just go and try and find the rest. That way when I am done with one project, I can go through my "kits" to see what needs to be done first for birthday or special occassion or just pick what I am in the mood for. So I actually have 10 total. Enough for the next year. Plus I still have my stash and computer full of freebie patterns.

I never buy kits - they are often too expensive and someone else's design. Like to design for myself.

I don't have any kits but I do have a 'sinful' amount of fabric.

I think I have around 20. I did the same thing before retiring. Stocked up because, I really liked the quilts and because the prices would only go up in the future. I have hope that I will make all the projects.

"0" for me, but my one friend makes up for it. She must have 20 stashed in her closet. BUT she does get them done. She created 42 quilts last year. Most from kits. She just loves having all the fabrics chosen for her and everything in a bag. However, we are now getting her to create some stuff on her own. She will find a pattern she loves and we help her find fabric for it. Oh my, we will have released a fanatic on the quilt world. grin She donates a lot of quilts to fundraiser and family gets quilts for all their special occasions.

Did you have to make me do that-- I have 13. But I did do one the other day and one about a month ago. So I did have 15. I guess I need to get busy.
