It depends on whether you are a person who likes a more organized look with just a couple of fabrics or someone who likes the scrappy look. I actually like it both ways, but for this one I think I will make my background the same on all and have all the stars be different so I can use up my stash.

Please count me in. Love stars. Might do houses too. We'll see. :D
Now, which fabric to use for those stars? Decisions, decisions.

I'm thinking I would like the same color backround and different color stars. I don't have a very lrg fabric stash...yet!

Stashes have a way of growing and growing and before long, you have more fabric than you know what to do with.

This is going to be so exciting! I get paid tomorrow and am making my list of things to buy at the QS.

I am strongly considering sticking with a pink and brown color scheme. I love the way those colors go together and I want a more feminine quilt for myself. I am so excited to start!!

I am going to try to do this BOM too. My second quilt was a star sampler, and I fell in love with stars. Wish me luck!

Also, Judy, if you still need volunteers, I'd love to pick a star for a month.

I am thinking about joining in for the Star BOM. Could you tell me if these stars will be pieced, appliqued, or paper pieced. That will help me in my decision. Thanks!

Probably (but not certain) most will be pieced or paperpieced. As we don't know what stars will be picked each month until the 15th, it's hard to tell. I would assume there won't be a lot of applique.

I know paperpiecing has not been my favorite part of quilting, but I am bound and determined to master it and can use all the practice I can get.

I hope you join us in expanding our horizons.
