I once made a quilt for my DGD when she was about 8. She had some cousins over and showed them the quilt. I heard her say " my nana can make anything. Do any of you want a quilt? OMG.....that was hard to get out of......I didn't have the time to make 8 quilts.....I was working full time and going to school to finish my masters degree. Hardly had time to breathe....

I had participated in a round robin this year, and was showing my sister the finished top, and my nephew (age 8) said that he wanted it. I really liked the top, so I am having a hard time giving it away. Here is a picture of the top, and DD Emily 13, DN Tya 17, DN Shane 8.

It's a very pretty top - I can see why you would have a hard time thinking about giving it away. You have the pleasure yet of finishing it, so maybe after that you'll feel that you've had your fun and give it to your nephew who really desires it. That way you know it will be cherished and you will be number one auntie! The cousins are just adorable.
