My first quilt has blocks that are cross stitched in it. My mother (who is gone) and I made them so I put them in a quilt. I will post a picture as soon as I can.

I've got a bunch of cross stitched pictures I made and collected over the years.

Trying to decide what to do with them...options include, putting them in a quilt, framing them for a child's room, or getting rid of them.
They do work well in quilts. I made a bunch from left over cross stitched blocks a friend gave me. I mostly just did Patches --alternating the cross stitched pieces with fabric square. They make nice quilts.

I made a keepsake quilt for my Great Niece a few years ago and cross stitched her name, birthday, time, weight, length in some of the squares. My Niece loved it! The picture isn't the best, but maybe you can see the squares with the cross stitch a little

I just machine quilted a quilt for a lady who made her quilt using exactly this. All cross stitched blocks and it turned out beautiful. I cross hatched the blocks and it didnt interfere with her stitching at all.

Here are the pictures of my quilt. Just remember it was my first quilt and I made some mistakes.

One of my fav quilts I saw over the years featured cross stitch blocks of the old homes in charleston on the battery. The blocks were framed in fabric. It was beautiful.

I've done 3 childrens quilts with embroidered pictures used as blocks, alternated with blocks of white or prints. They turn out wonderful. I've also done several with just a random block or two of embroidered squares. Eye-popping. Use 'em!! They'll be great.
