Not exactly upset ... just an oops and thought I'd ask you to see if you could get it fixed. Google searches pull up posts from QB all the time. I like being as anonymous as possible ... live life on the edge and under the radar

Don't want any critter visitors ... they never come alone, they always bring "passengers" (most notably fleas!).

    I have a Possum story.

Dogs were outside and barking fool heads off. I stepped out on to the deck and dogs were standing at the bottom of the deck stairs, looking up onto the deck, and barking (there was a gate preventing the dogs from being on the deck - otherwise they surely would have been up there!). They were looking right at me, and barking!! Warning barks!!! And they were clearly agitated about something.

Shut up clearly was not working with these guys (5 of them), and they were PO'd!!! At me? Surely not.

Then I caught a movement out of the corner of my eye, just to the left and above my head.

There, sitting on a plant hanger attached to the support pole for the deck lattice top, about 6" from my head, was a flipping Possum.

I HATE Possums!! Nasty, ugly, flea infested, sharp toothed, carion eating, and disease carrying varmits!!! UGH!!!

Corralled dogs into garage ... grabbed fire extinguisher and scythe (yes I have one), back out to deck and gave that sucker a blast of the extinguisher first - which got him moving (and snarling, and hissing), but to keep him moving quickly (Possum's don't "trot" despite the name of Moonworks towns (one of my favorite town names BTW - it's just too cute!), they "shuffle" - but who want's to live in "Possum Shuffle"??) and more or less poked him with the scythe and blasted him with the extinguisher to get him under the fence and into the woods behind my house WHERE HE BELONGS!!

I don't think we have possums here in Minnesota.. if we do, I've never seen one.. Thank god. I did see a giant arsed red fox run across the street in front of me and over to the bank. Guess he had some pressing business. It was as big as a medium sized dog and we are right in the middle of the city.. like I can walk 4 miles to our downtown.

Ok, the f8s are going in the mail in the morning. I am in NO HURRY! If you go to the 4 month mark, I am ok with that, this is going to be a spring quilt. I was going to do Halloween, but I would want it for NOW and that won't work. I still have one quilt to finish by Thursday night, and tomorrow is a busy day with my little lovely...my Isabella, we call her Isa. You can see her picture with her mother as my avatar.
We have everything in the animal catagory for the Pacific NW but no possums on this side of the state. They have Shrews over on the west side. What we have that are so agravating are SQUIRRELS!!! They are destructive critters.
We have coyotes, deer, racoons, mule deer and have even have a BIG moose walk down our drive way and down the road. We do have to watch for deer on our river road. I love living here and won't even go to Ariz. for the winter, we love the snow and cold.

We have possums and even an uglier critter--- Armadilios. The are the South's possums. We really have both. Both like to dig in the trash too.

Elisabrat, You have a fruit salad heading your way with the morning mail. Hope you enjoy.

I got my quilt frame together, now got to get the sewing machine attached.

    Have a good day, Phannie

WOWSA busy beavers on the board, all with a little critter story. My best friend was attacked by a racoon as she locked her upstairs apartment door and was heading downstairs to walk the dogs at night. She ran back up but could not get the door unlocked quick enough it ran up and bit her five times. So, cute little buggers arent they? her dogs are 1/4 the size of a racoon let alone an angry one. She put herself in between them and well ended up with lots of shots and even stitches. Cute though. We have skunks, wild turkeys (tons) and deer, red fox and bear here in my home town. Rattlesnakes and porcupines also but have yet to see the porcupine. Last year a skunk got stuck in a pipe/culvert here at the park. My sweetpea was called to GET IT OUT.. oh ok. He had to use a catch pole to pull it out backwards and I am glad I was not there to see it. he also gets the calls to get the rattlers please (then unhappy people who find out he releases them farther down the hill apparently he is supposed to kill them). Scorpians, well those are easy splat.. you name it I think we have a fair share of it but nope no armadillos which I thought lived in Texas not in Georgia. Learn something every day

I did received your block today the plate/dish one? it came in a seriously mangled envelope that had been put in a plastic bag by the post office with damaged on the outside (your kidding!). the block.. unscathed and that address in the inside makes a big difference I believe in safely arriving envelopes. My first even slightly damaged envelope. I finished another one today, think I am tired so will stop at one .. first day into my long week, sorta makes me a bit more tired than other days ..

I told the wildlife guy I was afraid the raccoon was going to come through the ceiling and if it did i was gonna whack the ever living heck out of it with a broom. He said no.. just run away as quickly as you can cause they will tear you up. I guess is true!
