Here is what has been under my needle this week and a half. A newly discovered UFO. The HSTs were given to me several years ago and I stumbled upon them a couple of weeks ago. Time to get them out the door, I say. It will be donated to a local hospice center early next week. A bit bright and not my color vibe but I do like it just the same.

Lovely HST quilt, WMUT! I love your plans to donate it to a hospice center.

Speaking of hospice, my hubby’s brother was just put on hospice care. About a year ago he suffered an aneurysm and stroke, and a brain tumor was found that had to be removed. He got therapy but didn’t really improve. He has been in a long term care hospital for nearly a year. His sister has now signed papers that put him in hospice care. We don’t know how long he will survive.

Smack in the middle of Helene, that’s where I was. Plenty of areas are still not even close to normal. It’s a shame.

GramE beautiful block and I agree with Sewbiz it does look like a metal.

Not sure what today’s plans are. Hubby has to run errands and might tag a long just to be nice

The doctor doubled my new antidepressant and I feel so much like my old self. For that I am so thankful and hope it continues.
So glad you are feeling better, Terriamn

I’m pooped!

Have a good evening.
Beautiful quilt, someone is going to be lucky to receive this quilt.

WMUT wonderful use of your HST’s.

Sewbiz sorry about your BIL hope he receives wonderful care

My hubby’s brother is also on hospice. Very similar circumstances. Had 2 strokes, found cancer and now has dementia but last time we saw him he seemed happy and smiled a lot. I have been very impressed with the staff each time we visited. They stopped and chatted with the residents as they went about their day and seemed upbeat and caring. What a comfort to family.

Terriamn and SBG, I'm sorry to hear about your family members' health problems. Our neighbor is going through the same thing and she has been recommended to go on hospice but the family seems to be resisting. It's a hard decision for some. We're actually going over there tomorrow to help her husband for a bit. She was a quilter and I plan to bring a couple of my quilts to show her. Her husband thinks it might trigger her to engage a bit with us. We'll see.

LStew- I love my block and the others- thank you!
Janice, Ernie is such a cutie. He looks like a gentle soul.
Sewbiz- that's really sad about your bil. Ugh. Poor guy.
