My family insists I have enough fabric. I think there's always room for more. I just love it.

Well, let me put it this way... I have enough fabric in my stash to give the LQS some real competition, should I ever want to open my own store... LOL
When my daughter is looking for fabric, I tell her to shop a new place in town called "Mom's Closet" - great fabric, and the price is right...

I made my husband and 2 daughters read your post. This is to
prove to them that I am not the only one that has so much
stuff. I don't have quite as much as you BUT almost, especially in kits. I also have hundreds of books which I can't resist. thousands of notions of every kind and
duplicates of most.I love my fabric and have to have it. I wear clothes til they shred and shoes with holes in them.I would rather not miss that new fabric line that just came out!!!!! lol It does my heart good to KNOW that I am not
alone in this endeaver.

I quit my habit last night. We got out taxes from the accountant. No more fabric for me. The IRS is getting all my fabric money. Luckily I have a stash that will keep me quilting for years.

I have a good huge stash to work with and only spend if I need a certain fabric for my quilts. I couldn't go out and spend like that as there are other things that I would rather do with my income tax money. There was post on the board yesterday about who will inherit your stash if anything happened to you and that made me realize I don't need to hoard fabric as I have no one to pass it on to. None of my kids want to quilt. I am also tired of the clutter of totes stuffed were ever they fit.

I have a good amount of fat quarters but I need actual yardage now for borders and backing.

I thought I had a lot but I think you are the champ!!!. I would estimate that I have over 100 yards - nearing 200 including a few bolts and all the kits I have. Sometimes I get a collection of fat quarters all put together prettily and I can't undo it and use it - looks too cute.
