We are not doing a long vacation this summer due to DDs June wedding (2nd only to the royal wedding, I assure you! LOL). However, we will take a few days here and there to do some things. In July we are planning to make it up to MI for a few days (I will be in a conference there one day). Then in Oct over my fall break we will go to Gatlinburg. Then...and this is the biggie we are planning for...we will be in Hawaii in January when DH has to go on business. We will extend the trip and have some fun!

I'm headed to San Antonio, Tx with a short trip to Austin, I hope. Headed to a quilt shop there owned by a family I lived across the street from in Queens, NY some 45 years ago!

Just got back from a 2 week vacation, drove to California, drove up the coast to Washington, it was wonderful. But I was really glad to get home, I'm not a traveler, but hubby loves it.

My daughter wants me to go with her to Colorado in September. My husband and I went there in 95' and had a great time. I am from Louisiana, and seeing real mountains for the first time was awesome. We took a tram to the top of a 14,000 foot mountain, cannot think of the name of it, and it was snowing when we reached the top. We even made snowballs and had a blast throwing them at each other. My husband began to feel bad because of the altitude. When the people there heard that we were from Louisiana, they said, no wonder. I am looking forward to going back. My favorite vacation is looking at beautiful scenery.
