I just can't handle the mess in my sewing room. Still working on getting it "fixed", seems the more I do the further behind I get...

I don't want to be your Mommy but just make sure it's not a health issue. I had a thyroid problem when I went through a sluggish time. Started taking medication for this and in two days life got better for me.

Me too. I have my sewing room kind of in a mess right now because I am in the process of washing the curtains. I have to move everything away from the windows. I hope I get some ambition soon so I can put it all back together.

I'm 'retired' now. Lots of time on my hands, right? No. My quilting has somehow sunk toward the bottom of my list of things to do. And I love it SO much. Several days, I have had the lazies. Today I am dealing with the puddle that is under and in front of my refrigerator. One of my friends (who still works) told me that I need to enjoy my retirement and get used to the idea that I 'earned' my retirement. OK. Later. Life keeps getting in the way.

I had the same problem for a couple of weeks. Finally deadlines were approaching and had to get to work. I finished a Bow Tuck bag and am appliqueing on a baby quilt I need to get done before the end of June. Hope I make it!!! Just go in and get started, don't look @ the mess just go cut some fabric and start some small fun project!!!

Well, I did not plan to clean my sewing room, but my kittens played on my stack of fabric and it slid to the floor - they thought it so much fun, they did it over and over again; I had a sandwich bag of cardinal blocks in that fabric I was going to use on a quilt I'm making - well, I think they ate the cardinals!!!! rofl

I have my room straightened up - my desk cleaned off, the carpet vacuumed, and still no cardinal blocks!!! Where or where; so I'm at a standstill for that quilt until I find them; as is I had to order them special on Ebay as I could not get the cardinal fabric anywhere - everyone was sold out, backordered, unavailable anymore and every roadblock possible, and now I've lost them!! Irritated, stumped as to where they are, and frustrated; BUT HAPPY - MY ROOM IS CLEAN!

I agree. I haven't been in my sewing room for a month. With working full time, working outside in my garden and then going to the lake over the weekends, I have no desire to go in the basement and sew.

Maybe when the temp reaches 90, I'll go in the basement because it's cooler than upstairs and sew for awhile. I have so many projects I want to do.

I keep buying material tho ...MY DEAL OF THE WEEKEND. Went to the thrift store at the lake and bought a plastic case, you know the one that a full size sheet set comes in, FULL of 1-1'2" strips of cotton material for 25 cents.....Wowzer

And the heat is on!!!! Get me downstairs.

That 'lazy feeling' has reached New York State. My sewing area is a mess and my house is in the same shape. Do not know where to start and I don't want to!!!
