Hi. Great to hear from another Arkansan. I am in Melbourne (Izard County) in the north central part of the state. The nearest "big" town is Mountain Home and it's 40 miles northwest of us. I retired last October and we moved here from Arizona. We bought the home about 3 years ago and had been using it for vacations and now live here full time. I have twin daughters and two grandchildren who both graduated from high school this year. We have two spoiled rotten dogs and lots of wildlife wandering through our woods. I've been sewing and knitting since the age of 10. I also love to do counted cross-stitch and crochet. I've currently been "distracted" from sewing by rubber stamping and papercrafts. My basement looks like a mini-Joann's. I'm looking forward to spending lots of time focusing on my hobbies now that I have the time. There are three unfinished quilt tops waiting for me down there!

Hello, neighbor! I'm in Maumelle. We had a wonderful rain yesterday so it's a little cooler today. Welcome to the QB!

We seem to have a lot in common. I also knit, crochet, do counted cross-stitch, embroidery, needlepoint, crewel, sewing clothes. I current just finished a few things for a great-nephew that is due any day. My great-niece will be 2 years old on the first of July. I and my husband are on disability but is seems that I am busier now then when I worked full time. I will also have another great-niece or nephew due in December. You said that you have two spoiled dogs, well I have four. Each one is of mixed parentage and each one feels that I am their personal "pet" and they follow me where ever I am. I hope to be able to get caught up on all of my UFO's this fall. I don't know if you know where Mena is, so if you go south of Fort Smith about 84 miles you will spot Mena. We are in the Ouachita Mountain area. Our largest towns are Fort Smith, Hot Springs, and Arkadelphia all about 85 miles away. Good luck in working on your projects and keep those babies (the dogs) and your husband healthy and happy. Best Wishes. Jeanniebelle
