I'm sorry I should have wrote that the blocks were 12 1/2" at cutting. I could have made the block 13" because I kinda shorted myself in having enough room for the applique of plate. Sorta did as I went for I made my own pattern to get the 16 points that I wanted. Worked out okay but always something to learn from each quilt I make.
Thank you for the info. I have some blue dresden plates and may try to adapt them to a quilt similar to yours.
