My answer is no, as you can go to Amazon.com and buy old quilting books a lot cheaper.

I have that set - I think I paid $5 for it at a garage sale - have never used it - I would probably be willing to sell it to you for the same as I paid for it plus the shipping if you want it ... I have no idea what it would cost to ship it - two three-ring binders - it looks pretty complete, but no guarantees. I live in Oregon.

A lot of people wont even use these patterns because rotary cutting and quick piecing has already made making a lot of patterns easier. He's dreaming if he thinks he will make that kind of money.

I bought one (only partially fully) at the Salvation Army store for $1.00.
I think that is way toooooo much for the books.

I think you've gotten enough responses resounding absolutely no. The seller probably looked at retail stickers that may still be on the patterns and added them up coming to the magical number of $300.

I wish I could get what my house was worth just 3 years ago, but reality is, you only get what the market will bear and IMHO that includes a binder full of patterns. Used or opened or not opened, his sky is a very different color than what in reality it truly is.

The seller likes these patterns too much and therefore will probably keep on owning them.

I agree with all of the answers - I would NOT pay anything for these as they are now somewhat outdated and most, if not all, patterns are easily accessible online or through much more reasonable avenues.
Too many are trying to 'make a killing' on CL, like one I came across recently. They were trying to sell a 'pristine antique Singer featherweight' for $899. The photo showed a dirty, badly rusted, long forgotten sad little machine. It truly broke my heart!

I might give him $10 each if I saw any thing I thought was interesting. You can get almost any published patterns in books or collections for much less than what he is asking!!
