Well I have a book coming. No idea what is in it but it is for paper piecing. I have found many blocks online though and plan to use several.

UGH! I have been trying to post a pic of the two blocks I finished but it keeps failing to upload. I know you can't preview the post after you upload the photo but before you hit post. I can't even get the thing to upload! I will work on figuring it out tomorrow. Anyway, I made one regular size block of a hand trowel and rake and a twist block of a bumble bee.

By the way, I love the idea of a garden gnome!

craft I love the garden tools! All the ideas are good, we are all going to have beautiful quilts.
I printed out my patterns and learned something at the same time; one of those duh moments LOL. the pattern wanted 2 pages for one pattern, printed out one, and the second page was only like 2 lines, and looking at it I thought if it went the other way on the page it would only take one page each. I found I could set it for landscape; so my cardinals are printed out I found one perfect background fabric, not sure it there is enough for all 6, and looks like I need to go shopping for reds. Cardinal red I do prewash, and will double check there is no bleed from the red.

Cardinals sound great! You don't have to have all the same fabrics unless you want to. It's okay to mix and match fabrics, as long as the fabric's good pre-washed 100% cotton. I often go through my scrap bins, especially when I'm making the small blocks. I have run out of tracing paper, so I need to get some more. I use regular papers when that's all I have on hand. You just have to set your stitch length lower so it's easy to tear off.

I found mine LC, at Amazon.com.

    Craft, love your tools!

Ronda, do you hand trace all of your patterns? I have always used computer paper for my pp. If I put my index finger on the beginning of the seams I am about to rip the paper off of as I pull the paper off, it seems to work easily. With our last pp swap for every seam I sewed, I had to rip seams twice or thrice for every seam I ended up leaving. Sewwwww glad I hadn't set my stitches to tiny... LOL
